So your expensive phone finally came. You get motivated, try the screen, run a game, import a contact list and remember that you need to buy some groceries. Perfect time for your first trip with your new phone. But then the universe decides to pay for all the bad karma you collected in your life. The phone becomes suddenly noticeable, gets extra smooth and just jumps out of the hand or pocket and lands on the sidewalk. The screen is now broken and you are angry and think what you could do to prevent this situation.
If it does not happen yet, I'm sure you know at least one friend who has experienced this horror story.
Everyone drops the phone sooner or later, what can you do to protect it? Buy a case or a protective display? But would not my phone look good and like a brick?
These questions are normal. You can not compare the feeling of the phone as it was designed in a nudity (metal, glass or leather) with a relatively cheap, bulky sense of protective phone.
In order to establish a better operating environment, some companies offer an interesting warranty offer. For example, HTC One M9 will replace once if your phone becomes corrupt, including accidental drops or damage to the screen.
But most companies will charge you for extra charges (up to $ 200) to enable your phone to drop.
In order to keep the phone safe, but without looking a little or cheap, let's look at what cases manufacturers need to offer to meet both security and design requirements.
Note: A case must hold the value of the phone if you want to resell it.
Since iPhone 6 and 6+ have appeared, this phone has been found to be damaging than other festivals (the Samsung Galaxy S6 is also on the leaderboard, too, because it's a glass and metal building) . From unique scratches to monsters, we definitely need to protect our animals. So, we have compiled 10 lists of the best iPhone 6 cases that hopefully will not drain your pocket.
1. Apple Leather Case
One of the first options you get when you consider buying a case for iPhone is actually from its manufacturer. Apple offers two types of cases for iPhone 6, silicon and leather. We will take a look at the leather case.
Apple took more, insignificant minimal design with a soft leather cover that does not take away that forms a variant of the phone.
The case is durable, giving a good grip and what we use most is that it adds almost nothing in terms of quantity (5.91 × 2.76 × 0.59 inches) or weight (1.76 ounces).
Another good feature is the fact that the case is easy to snap into place and very easy to remove. It wraps around the back and three sides (all angles are covered).
Comment: On the back, Apple stands out.
Apple leather comes in black, midnight blue, red, soft pink and olive brown.
Apple Leather Cap provides protection against daily use, medium drops (about 6 feet) or scratches. If better protection is needed in a more difficult environment, we recommend a more difficult issue (Otterbox and LifeProof are a good choice).
Before the case is a microphone that keeps the iPhone scratched when you remove it or put it in the pocket.
Also the case is thick to protect the camera and the display.
The case features headphone connector holes, lighting cable, speaker and mouse button, which basically bases the bottom of the phone.
The buttons are responsive to the matter and although the buttons were a bit hard to push at first, after a few days, they increased. The camera is black in black.
One problem we experienced is that because the higher powder is around the screen, some actions (like bump from the left) are difficult to perform.
Apple Leather Case takes part in the class in iPhone 6 and despite the age of leather, it adds to the character, but now the case is a bit overpriced. If you do not complain about prices, then this case is perfect for consumer average, messaging together both fair protection and high quality design.
2. Otterbox Symmetry Series
Otterbox has three types of cases -Defender, Commuter and Symmetry – and we will focus on the slimmest in Otterbox, Otterbox Symmetry.
The case is well designed, it involves the career of the iPhone as much as possible, although it is a bit bulky. The material is two tone, with soft rubber rubber inside and polycarbonate on the outside.
Although the Apple logo is covered, the back cover is rather stylish and has a premium. But, as previously mentioned, the case is heavier than other bad cases, measuring (LWH) 7.6 x 1.63 x 6.0 inches and weighing 6.7 ounces.
The case is made from one piece, so installing and removing the case is quite easy.
Otterbox Symmetry comes in two colors: Black, Blue Print, Jökull, Teal Rose and Damson Berry.
With regard to protection, Otterbox Symmetry with parachute and scratch cover, the maximum drop height is approximately 6 feet.
Also, the edge of the case is slightly elevated, so when you release it, your phone will be protected (if the surface is complex enough, we recommend that you use this screen in any case with screen saver).
Access, the case is fair. The buttons, although further (except the Mute key), are still click and there is an anti-flash part around the camera port.
There are cutouts around the loudspeaker, lightning port, headphone and microphone port.
Overall, the case is solid (as expected from Otterbox), and it's possible to deliver a great iPhone experience for those who do not care about the bulky size of the case.
Also, considering the fact that prices fell by $ 30, this is one of the best issues for the iPhone 6.
3. LifeProof Nuud
LifeProof is a dedicated company that makes iPhone accessories since 2011. Since 2013, it has been acquired by Otterbox.
Lifeproof Nuud is a light, neat touch with a stylish design and solid overall feel. The case is very compact, it measures 7.75 × 4.25 × 1.1 inches and weighs 5.78 ounces.
It's simple and obvious that the case is touching the front and the bottom part.
Note: Always do the water test before releasing your phone.
The case comes in black, white, blue and pink.
The main thing you will notice is the fact that the display is uncoovered, hence the name Nuud. There is an optional screen protector included in the box.
LifeProof Nuud Case is waterproof, but we do not want to recommend surfing or prolonged underwater. It works best when you accidentally fall in the snow or in small water and you remove it quickly.
If you drop your phone from normal height (maximum 7 feet), do not damage the phone, but there may be exceptions if the surface is not flat, as the display is exposed.
Access to the iPhone is pretty decent, the buttons are covered with durable plastic flaps and the headphone is protected with the enclosed screw cap (which may be annoyed sometimes than necessary to be waterproof).
You can blind your eyes to this minor inconvenience because you will have a full sense of the display, thanks to the uncovered screen.
Still there is a big problem that many users have reported that LifeProof Nuud affects iPhone 6's sound quality. While listening to some songs or watching movies, the sound is less clear and with a lower volume than you would already listen with a direct phone. The microphone is also affected because a lot of people have reported hearing the iPhone user at the other end was hassle.
The camera and the flash have their own explanatory area so it does not affect the image quality.
The case is ok, it's waterproof and shockproof, making it perfectly accessible, has easy access to buttons, the camera is clear and if the audio quality was unchanged, this would be a perfect issue.
4. Mophie Juice Pack H2Pro
The Juice Pack H2Pro, is the first waterproof battery shell from Mophie.
Juice Pack H2Pro features stylish design with a black matte finish (it's a glossy white finish available) that is very comfortable in hand.
Although the case is rather cumbersome, comparing it with other external battery packs, it's pretty close. However, the Juice Pack H2Pro will double the size and weight of the phone, which measures 5.91 × 2.76 × 0.59 inches and weighs 1.76 ounces.
To install the case, you only need to slide the main part through the phone and press the top left to seal the case.
Juice Pack H2Pro comes in two variations: Glossy white and black matte plastic.
Juice Pack H2Pro has a waterproof protection rating IP-68, as the case has been tested to a depth of 4 feet for 30 minutes.
The case provides protection against scratches or scratches and can withstand drops of up to 6 feet thanks to the protective coating.
Note: H2PRO complies with Military Standard 810G-516.6 for drops and other potentially harmful conditions.
Access and Battery
The front cover is a bit featureless, with small metallic openings for microphone and speaker, with microUSB cut-out holes and headphones, and the side protectors cover the keys.
Above the screen you can find a flexible membrane that allows for easy access to the touch screen and the contact number.
The case is switched on and off the system and four light sources.
Juice Pack H2Pro is equipped with a 2.750mAh rechargeable battery that simply doubles (and more) your iPhone's battery life. According to Mophie, you get 11 additional hours of video playback and about 50 additional hours of music playback.
During the test, the battery got more 130% rechargeable.
Overall, Juice Pack delivers H2Pro premium experience, features high protection, good looking design (though inevitably bulky) and rechargeable battery.
5. Tech21 Classic Frame
Tech21 promises great protection with innovations (D30), without adding too much size to iPhone 6. Let's see if it returns.
The case has a minimalism design, a sporty polycarbonate back and a flexible D30 fabric side. The back cover is transparent (you can see the design of the iPhone through) and the edges provide great grip thanks to the rubber texture.
Tech21 Classic Frame has a thin profile, measuring (LHW) 3.03 × 0.69 × 6.15 inches and weighing 4 ounces.
It's definitely easy to install and remove the case. Because the bottom is exposed, you can put the phone through (or remove the bottom to remove it).
The case comes in two choices of colors: Clear to Smokey.
Tech21 claims that, thanks to its innovative technology, the D30 material shock should swallow and release so the phone is unhappy.
And they are correct, the phone is protected from drops of up to 6 feet. We tested from about three feet and the iPhone 6 was safe and sound.
What about the screen? Well, the outer lips around the screen are only slightly higher so if you drop the phone downwards, it will protect it from breaking (can limit the use of some sweepings). However, it is advisable to get a screen protector if the phone is released on a dangerous surface.
All this protection comes without adding too much amount, unlike other cases.
Regarding access, the case is relatively good.
You have full access to the operators thanks to the explanation at the bottom (easy access to the speaker, microphone, lighting side or headset) and on the side of the microphone of the phone.
The volume control and switch are covered by the built-in button in the case itself. Some complaints are that the buttons feel a little bit pushed and pushing them may need more power than you would expect.
Finally, the issue is to offer a good amount of protection, does not take away from native iPhone styles and most importantly it's not cumbersome, so in my book, this is going to be the case.
6. Case-Mate Barely There
Just as the name suggests, the case is barely there, perfect for people who do not like to matter but recognize the need to protect their iPhone.
The case is a minimum design, with a matte finish (with the black version tested) and cut out for the Apple logo.
The Case-Mate Barely It's very thin, adds almost nothing in terms of volume (2.8 × 0.4 x 5.5 inches) or weight (0.5 oz) and you'll often forget it on the phone.
It's very easy to install, you just have to slide right and just hug to the left side.
The Case-Mate Barely There comes in large numbers of colors: black, white, clear, pink, green, orange, brown, gold, silver, blue, gray, purple, red and mixed.
The Case-Mate Barely There provides fundamental protection than other cases we have reviewed to prevent only touching (scratch) damage. Still, good protection for back, side and corner.
Inside the case you can find textured rubber that prevents the phone from scratching the dust inside the case.
Unfortunately, if you want protection against drops (especially dropping the phone downwards), this issue is not performing such a feat, but if scratches or scrapes are the reason you want to discuss it, it's perfect case for you.
Accessibility is one of the best things in this case. It features cut-outs for easy access to volume control, power and fire button, so the upper and bottom of the iPhone are affected.
Thanks to these cut-outs, it's very easy to use Dock Adapter. It is also great that it does not prevent any impact.
7. Spigen Tough Armor Case
Let's look at one of the most difficult cases for the iPhone 6, Spigen Tough Armor Case.
The Spigen Tough Armor Case is incredibly slim based on its protection, with a dual design, internal TPU core (which has a harder outer surface from scratching the body) and outer frame of polycarbonate.
Although it is fairly close to its capabilities, it adds to some magnets measuring 3.75 × 1.0×7.0 inches and weighing 4.96 ounces.
Thanks to a soft inner finish, it's easy to install and remove the case.
Spigen Tough Armor Case comes in 4 different shades: Gunmetal, Satin Black, Smooth Black and Champagne.
This case is compatible with screen saver.
The Spigen Tough Armor Case offers high protection for iPhone with aerial technology, which means that the shock is absorbed and dispersed through the TPU core.
The case offers protection for drops up to 6 feet.
The screen is left, but the case is a little higher so it could protect your screen, but it is recommended to buy screen protector just to be sure.
The case has explanations for easy access to ports, buttons, camera and port dock.
Behind the case, you can find a circular explanation to show the Apple logo (the area can easily be scratched).
This case achieves a solid and elegant appearance, but provides enough protection for almost any cosmetics and even heavier harm.
8. Incipio DualPro Shine
In the past Incipio cases were okay, nothing impressive, but DualPro tends to change this perception.
The design Incipio DualPro Shine is quite unique, with two layers, instead of one, each with its own style and role.
The first is a shock absorbing dLAST TPE rubber layer and the outer shell is made of polycarbonate and has a brush of aluminum.
To put the case all you have to do is simply slide the iPhone into the rubber layer and then squeeze the plastic backing on the back.
We detected a problem while uninstalling. Because the camera's explanation is thin, you can easily break the case around it.
One surprising fact about Incipio DualPro Shine is that it has two layers, it is not very bulky, which measures 5.65 × 2.88 × 0.45 inches and weighs 1.6 ounces.
Incipio DualPro Shine comes in Gunmetal / Black, Silver / Gray, White / Gray, Gold / Black and Gold / Pink
Each of the two songs of Incipio DualPro Shine has its own its role. The inner layer is resistant to stretch and the outer shell protects against scratches and scrapes.
Overall, the case protects the phone from falling up to 4 feet and the edges provide low screen protection if they first fall on the face.
One minute is that the outer shell is completely sllick (sllicker than iPhone itself) so it easily falls out of your mind.
Incipio DualPro Shine allows you to access all iPhone buttons. It features cut-outs for port lighting, for headphone jack, speaker and camera.
Buttons are covered with rubber material that can be pushed with ease. The exception is a sound switch that can be a bit difficult to control if you do not have larger nails.
Incipio DualPro Shine is compatible with other screen savers.
9. Griffin Reveal Case
Griffin Technology, the US company, offers a wide range of cases for iPhone. To name a few: The Survivor All Terrain, Survivor Core, Survivor Slim, and Reveal issue, which we will review now.
Griffin Reveal Case is a slim and lightweight metal with the simplest, lowest design, with slim rubber edges (providing good grip) and a sturdy, fully transparent plastic tray.
The case itself does not add too much amount, it measures 6.3 x 0.4 x 3.25 inches and weighs 1.6 ounces.
The transparent back is made of polycarbonate and even behind the phone, it holds fingerprints and scratches with ease.
Thanks to Rubber Brown, the Griffin Reveal Case really gives a good grip and makes it very easy to install or remove the case.
The frame is available in black, white or pink.
Overall, the case is good, the design is simple and will please all users who want to see as much of the iPhone 6 as possible.
Brown Griffin Reveal Case receives shock and back cover protect iPhone 6 from scratches or other cosmetics damage, but it does not offer too much protection for serious drops or heavy inflatable damage.
Because the case covers the edges, there is some protection for the screen, especially if you drop it first.
Griffin Reveal Case has it up and down in terms of access.
It features featured cut-outs for port lighting, microphone, headset jack and camera. It is also ejected to switch the switch large enough to slide it easily and the black edge to prevent flashback.
But the case covers the power and volume keys, making them harder to push.
10. Pong Sleek Case
Pong research comes into the market with two cases for iPhone 6: smooth and strong. Pong asserts that the issues reduce radiation and strengthen your phone's logo.
Pong sleek case with sleek design, with smooth external and diamond-shaped grind on the back that shows a part of the gold metal network.
The case completely covers the phone, but it does not add too much volume, which measures 6.75 x 1.25 x 4.25 inches and weighs 4.64 ounces.
Note: To install the case you need to do is click on it on your phone.
One complaint would be the fact that the matter is more smooth than the iPhone itself, even on the edge.
The case is available in black, white and red.
One of the main features of this case is that the radiation (with gold-plated gold plated antenna) should be 89% below the SAR limit – great for prevention like there is no final investigation which shows that it may be harmful by using a mobile phone.
Other than the radiation protection, Pong Smooth case can stand drops up to 6 feet (confirmed by US military bases).
The case also protects from scratches and other cosmetics.
Regarding access, we had no problem when this case was used because all ports and buttons are not parallel.
