In a laptop, many people tend to choose Dell or Apple, as their brands have made it clear that when you choose one of their products, you will never do it. They are known almost everywhere as being at the top of the line in what they do.
But without having to scare the competition, here are some key factors that you might want to consider when choosing the best laptop for graphic design:
Virtual Screen Resolution
This refers to the actual screen resolution that the laptop computer can print. It does not necessarily have to do much with the screen size itself. Some 13 inch display laptops are capable of resolutions 1280 by 800, but this does not mean you should choose such a small laptop to make a graphic design with. Considering something that is more than 15.4 inches in screen size, as newer laptop designs tend to pack lots of dots in tight screens.

Graphic design involves using programs that tend to use a lot of RAM, the more RAM your system has, the better they will run, the faster you will get the job and get the best results from your laptop.  Graphic designers use Photoshop a lot, along with other graphic design software, and usually run 3-4 programs at a time, so the amount of laptop memory space is key to overall performance. You should start at least 4 GB of RAM, if you only use one of these programs at a time.
But if you're doing multitasking and running several applications at a time, your graphic design laptop should be at least 8GB of RAM or higher. The highest level you can go with your current laptops is 16GB. When you have an 8GB RAM with a laptop, you're sure to get all that's done at least.

You only need a better video card if you want to install a lot of games or if you want to make a 3D model and move.
The best graphic design laptops have good built-in resolution that allows you to squeeze in many toolbars and still has space for the implementation area, a generous number of RAM systems, and dedicated graphics cards, and most importantly, a higher amount of processing power, with more than one processing core.
