Samsung Wave S8500 – The world's first BADA phone

Samsung Wave is the latest solution for more and more smartphones available on the market. However, it is unique because it is the first phone that contains the Samsung BADA operating system. The phone runs on a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and uses the Samsung TouchWiz 3.0 user interface. Its size is 118 x 56 x 10.9 mm, weighs only 118 grams.

Samsung Wave has a 3.3-inch super AMOLED capacitive touch screen display that supports 16 million colors and 480 X 800 pixels. The accelerometer sensor allows you to rotate the screen automatically when the phone is switched off and the proxy sensor automatically turns off the display when the phone is held close to the body. Innovative features such as multi-touch input, smart resolution, and handwriting recognition are also supported.

The internal memory of the phone is 390 MB, which can be further expanded to 32 GB with an external memory card. Data transfer features include EDGE, Bluetooth, WiFi, EDGE, microUSB. Entertainment needs include music players and video players that can play all the major file formats. Stereo FM is also supported. The 3.5 mm audio connector allows you to connect your favorite headphones.

The Samsung S8500 has a wonderful 5 megapixel camera that produces 2592 x 1944 high-resolution images. Video recording is also supported. Other features include autofocus, smile and blinking, image stabilization, touch focus, video player, and more.

Other basic features such as SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, and IM. Games and applications are also supported. Some applications such as digital compass, director, image editing, voice memos etc. Samsung Mobile Navigator serves navigation purposes. The HTML browser allows users to easily access the Internet on the phone. New applications and games can be downloaded directly from your Samsung App Store.
