The LG Dare VX9700 is a great modern looking touch screen phone, it's a decent all round carrier. The front of the phone is characterized by a large touch screen (as is common with such a smart phone now), with actual phone measurements 104 x 56 x 13 mm. The weight is 107 grams so it's low in weight, compared with other phones. The Dare VX9700 has rounded edges and good lines and has a great modern look for it. Being a part of the LG Fashion phone ensures that much of the time and effort has gone into the Dare VX9700.
All popular music formats are supported by LG Dare, and there is an FM radio. A very clever addition to LG is the 3.5 mm headset key, so at least you can use your own set of headsets if necessary. Sound quality is good and will be more than suitable for most average users. It's a 3.2 megapixel camera, flash, auto focus (to prevent blurred images) and digital zoom. Although these basics look great, it would have been great if LG could have received some sophisticated cameras like geo-tagging, smile shutter and red-eye reduction.
Application-wise LG VX9700 dare has standard ones like calendar, alarm and organizer, etc. The only advanced feature is GPS Navigation. Internet connection, however, is great, since LG dare to have 3G HSDPA, EDGE and Bluetooth. No Wi-Fi though a little strange.
Generally the LG Dare VX9700 is a decent mobile phone. It meets all the requirements of the phone at a reliable level, but never really commits itself to being great at all. One has to remember that the phone is part of LG's fashionable range.
