If you're new to iPad, one of the first things you want to do is check out the store, but there are so many things that can be confusing. The thing you want to know when you start is the difference between paid and free apps. It will save you or your kids run up big bills that download games and tools.
To use the app Store on iPad, you need to start from the main screen. This is the screen you start when you turn on iPad. You will then see the blue icon that says the App Store beneath it.
When it launches you will see the main screen and usually it's full of new applications, editors, and grouped tools such as tools above
You can start viewing them immediately by clicking on one of interest.
NOTE: If you're new to this, make sure it's "FREE" next to what you want to download, so you do not.
You can also use the keys at the bottom of the store to view the Selected Applications, Top Programs, or use the Genius tab that will suggest apps to you based on your interests.
At the top right, you will see search box if you know the name of the application you are looking for and can search for it. At the top left you can classify the apps by category depending on which application you want to download.
A good place to start if you're new is the article that says "Top New iPad App", you'll usually find this on the screen and it has the most basic applications you need.
To download an application, simply click on it and enter your password in the App Store. Assuming you have your password correct, the green button will appear with "INSTALL" on it.
Simply click on the installation button and you'll see a bar that will tell you how the progress is. You can understand the app store and you will see the icon in your main home screen. Then simply select it to start an application.
Use the instructions above to find your way around the app store. There are thousands of apps to look through.
