Agoraphobia is not the opposite of Claustrophobia

Agoraphobia does not contradict claustrophobia – but many people think. In fact, I was thinking exactly that. I was just thinking about it even when I was suffering from agoraphobia. I even offered the opportunity to join an agoraphobo group, but I said no, because I'm not afraid of the open spaces. I really liked the open spaces until no one else was near me. Actually, if there was no other person, that was okay for me. But all this was a long time ago.

Agoraphobia's translation of "fear from the market," not as many people think of the fear of open spaces. Marketplace is the essence of humans and human interaction. This is terrifying. Places that agorahogs generally avoid or cause problems, supermarkets, theaters, cinemas, masses, parties. Places where quick exit can be difficult.

Fear usually appears in some way in the eyes of others. Typically, agoraphots are worried about things like: vomiting (usually due to severe anxiety); faint; panic attacks; or you have a real health emergency as a heart attack. Concern is usually embarrassed – maybe it's the fainting and the supermarket's floor around the affected face who will insist on getting married and calling an ambulance.

Many agorafóbaba succeeds with a reliable helper who accompanies them when they need to buy or socialize. This person is there to save them and bring him home if something bad is like a panic attack. But if this helper is not available, life is very limited.

If you receive medical attention, the most likely result is a medicine with tranquillizers and antidepressants. None of these solutions solves the problem, only providing minimal functionality. The problem remains like a monster in the closet, waiting to show the scary face as it turns off the lights or looks different. So he was trapped. The medicine fixes the cabinet in the closet, but should not be rid of it. Stop the medicine and the monster is free once more.

Life, like agoraphobia, is not entertained at all.
