Acer has recently unveiled a new device in the Iconia family at Mobile World Congress 2011, ie. Acer Iconia Smart. The new Acer smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.8-inch touchscreen system with 1024 x 480 pixel resolution, 512MB RAM, 8GB of storage space, up to 32GB MicroSD card, camera with 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, camera mode with LED camera, geo tagging, face and smile detection, camera with 2 megapixel front cover, and 720p HD video capture support at 30 frames per second.
The new Acer Smart is also equipped with a stereo FM radio with RDS, speedometer sensor, six-axis gyro sensor, proximity sensor, Dolby surround sound, support Adobe Flash Player 10.1, 3.5 mm Jack, GPS with A-GPS support and the Li- Po 1500 mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours of 3G talk time and up to 500 hours of standby. For connection, the device offers 802.11 b / g / n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA support, microUSB 2.0, HTML browser and works on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 900/1900/200.

The handset is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with Acer UI 4.2 and expected to be released from May 1, but pricing has not yet been confirmed.
