About MTS File Conversion

MTS files are HD video formats. Sony, Panasonic and Canon, etc. Use this format in HD camcorders. However, some applications support this format in Mac or Windows for playback or editing. Therefore, MTS must be converted to MOV or other video format for playback or editing.

MTS files are an AVCHD format (Advanced Video Coding High Definition). Sony and Panasonic have developed this format together. To support 720p and 1080i, this format can be used for HD video capture and playback. I had this project for my school, which I made a lot of recordings on my Sony HD video camera. The recordings were in MTS format. When I tried to play on Mac, I did not play. I could not even edit them.

My plan was to edit the video files and make them a nice short documentary. Then I added the video to my iPhone, show it to my class, and share it with my friends. However, as I was unable to play on Mac, I had to look for alternatives. The alternative was to convert MTS to MOV. The reason for choosing MOV files is that the Mac, iPhone and other Apple products support MOV files. As an Apple fan, I chose MOV files.

To convert MTS to MOV, I'm looking for a video converter. A video converter is software that produces an input format video format. Then, switch the video to another supported video format that the user enters. Finding a good video converter is somewhat difficult. Many video converters do not support MTS files as inputs or outputs. In addition, there are low-quality video converters. These converters can convert, but reduce the quality of the video during the process (dark, foggy or misty or granular or bare).

I was looking for the internet and many are recommended for Video Converter for Mac. I tried the trial version and it worked like a charm. Besides MTS, it supports a range of other SD (Standard Definition) and HD video formats. I always thought that video conversion was difficult to work. This has proved wrong. It was as simple as a cake.

After switching from MTS to MOV, everything worked perfectly. I could play the files and edit them. If you're looking for a good video converter, it's the best choice for you.
